Payment Information

Acceptable forms of payment: Cash (in person ONLY), Money Order (payable to HAD or Harvey’s Academy Of Driving), or Credit Card (Visa, Master Card, Discover, or American Express). Note: There will be a 4% credit card processing charge for each transaction.



Students with hearing, speech, learning, or other disabilities should notify Harvey’s Academy of Driving prior to registering/enrolling to ensure they receive alternative teaching and testing techniques.


Standards of Behavior

  • Students are expected to arrive on time and maintain a courteous and respectful attitude.

  • Cheating will not be tolerated. Any student caught cheating will be instructed to leave. This will also result in the student’s removal from the Course, without a refund.

  • Cell phones are not permitted in the class room or during driving time. Any cell phone usage during this time will result in student’s removal from the Course, without a refund.


Additional Driving Instruction

Should a student need a customized training course, or need special driving arrangements, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will schedule an appointment to discuss what special arrangements are needed, and how we can assist the student. Rates for personal driving instruction will be dependent on the students’ needs and desires and will be discussed/determined at the appointment time.


Inclement Weather

In the event of inclement weather, or pending inclement weather (i.e. heavy rains, flash flooding, hurricanes, etc.), driving instruction may have to be rescheduled. In the event of inclement weather, it is the students’ responsibility to contact Harvey’s Academy Of Driving to get updated info.


Student Absence

  • Should an unforeseen absence occur during the classroom portion of instruction contact the office to discuss when the classroom time can be made up.

  • Effective November 1, 2016 any drives missed, or No Show without a valid doctors excuse or EMERGENCY will be a $100 fee and the Student will be removed from the rest of their schedule until fee is paid in full..

  • No certificate will be awarded until all course requirements are met.


Our Refund Policy

Deposits / Payments are transferable to another class time only. Students may reschedule another class date if they are unable to attend the original class. Deposits / Payments are NON-REFUNDABLE. Please call as soon as possible if you are not able to attend class.
If we agree to refund partial payment, it will be released on the Friday following agreement as checks are only available on Fridays. We do not keep cash or checks available at all times.


Our Grievance Policy

Harvey’s Academy of Driving is very receptive to our customers needs and issues, and will strive to settle any issues. In the event a student’s grievance(s) is not resolved by us, then you may contact the Department of Public Safety, Office of Motor Vehicles, Training and Certification Unit, PO Box 64886, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 70896 for further information or mediation.


Gift Certificates

If you would like to provide a course of training as a gift to someone, please contact us for details and gift certificate. The gift certificate has no expiration date and will not be affected by any tuition changes either.
